Coupon Lingo/Abbreviations
• 2/$3=Buy 2 items for $3 (doesn't necessarily mean you have to buy both)
• AC = After Coupon
• BC=Before Coupon discounted price.
• Blinkies = coupon dispensed from a "blinking" red box near the product
• BOGO/B1G1=Buy One, Get One Free!
• Catalina/Cat= a coupon that prints from a catalina machine after your purchase
• CRT=Cash Register Tape from CVS refers to the coupon that prints from the scanner machines or at the end of your receipt
• DH = Dear husband
• EB or ECB= Extra Bucks (formerly known as Extra Care Bucks)
• FAR=Free After Rebate
• Filler=item bought to bring your purchase total to a certain amount (to lower your OOP)
• IP=Internet Printable Coupon
• MQ=Manufacturer Coupon (as opposed to an IP)
• MIR=Mail In Rebate
• OYNO = On/Off your next order
• OOP=Out of Pocket (how much I paid after coupons/deals/etc.)
• Overage= when an item is more than free
• Peelie = coupon that you peel off the package
• P&G= Proctor and Gamble coupon insert
• Q= Coupon
• RA=Rite Aid
• RP=Red Plum coupon insert
• RR=Register Reward, prints at Walgreens when you purchase qualifying items; can be used like cash on your next purchase.
• SCR=Single Check Rebate (Rite Aid’s rebate program)
• SS=Smart Source coupon insert
• Stacking= when you combine a store coupon with a manufacturers coupon or sale for the most savings
• Tear Pad = A pad of refund forms or coupons found hanging from a store shelf or display
• TMF=Try Me Free
• YMMV=Your Mileage/Manager May Vary
• Wags= Walgreens
• Wyb=when you buy
